February 6 , 2006 - Blackard Group, Inc., has agreed to the engineering specifications for the galleon that will be berthed in the harbor of Adriatica. Now that the engineering has been agreed to, the design phase can be completed and construction can begin. The ship will be built on site and then floated when ready. As always, when construction begins, pictures will be posted here. Below is a picture of a similar vessel and two preliminary drawings of the Galleon for Adriatica.

August 26, 2006 - The City Council will decide on September 5, 2006 if the Galleon Dubrovnik can be berthed in the harbor at Adriatica. The major concern is who will maintain on a long term basis. Jeff Blackard has always stated that the owner of the Galleon, (in this case himself), will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance.

September 6, 2006 - The City Council will allow the Galleon through the issuance of a Specific Use Permit (SUP). The SUP has been aplied for and should be approved by the City Council at an upcoming meeting.
